Bringing Affordable Housing
to the Community

Located in the city of Franklin, Texas, Franklin Housing Authority strives to assist low-income residents of Robertson County by providing safe, decent, affordable housing.

As a part of the New Deal, enacted by President Franklin D. Roosevelt, the U.S Housing Authority was created in 1937 to provide loans to states or communities to construct low cost housing for their citizens. This program allowed funding for construction of safe, decent and affordable housing to those whose dwellings were unsafe and in disrepair.

The Franklin Housing Authority was established in the late 1960s with its 36 unit complex of affordable housing completed in 1972. Franklin Housing Authority is dedicated to carrying out President Roosevelt’s mission to provide decent, affordable housing for those in need.
